  • Continue to stir the thick mixture until it starts pulling away from the bowl’s sides.
  • When the slime starts to become solid, you can take it out and begin to knead it with your hands. Don’t worry about the little water left in the bowl- it’s normal.
  • Keep kneading your slime until you’re pleased with its consistency.

Easy Borax Kid Slime Recipe

-Food coloring (optional)

-School glue or white glue (Especially if you’re in the US or UK, the most commonly used type of glue for slime is Elmer’s Glue. But if you’re unable to get it, any PVA glue would be totally fine)

-Borax (You could get it in the cleaning aisle of a hardware store or supermarket)



  • Add 25 ml of glue and 50 ml of water in a bowl, then stir with a turning stick.
  • Add 3 or 4 drops of food coloring (if you’d like to make colored slime).
  • Add 25 g of Borax to the mixture as you keep stirring. The slime will start forming.
  • When the slime becomes hard enough to start pulling away from the sides of the bowl, take it out and start kneading.
  • Continue to knead until you’re happy with the texture.
